The Timberwolves (47-36) were coming off of a loss at the end of the regular season to the Chicago Bulls (46-36). The Clippers (42-41) were coming off of a huge 138-88 win over the OKC Thunder (24-58). The Timberwolves will play at the No. 2 Memphis Grizzlies on Saturday. The Clippers will play the winner of Pelicans v. Spurs on Friday.
